Week # 30

I don't want this space to become a weekly blog, but I can't seem to help it suddenly. Its not like I've run out of stories to tell - people who know me know that could never happen! ;o) May be I'm just not good with typing em out into neat little paragraphs! More possibly I'm just going through a lazy patch!

Anyway, about the past week ... or ever since my last post, much has happened good & not so good! Just a quick list, and then if I do get carried away ... I'll ramble on!

1. I got quite busy with work and was truly enjoying it - and got over the "blah" feeling of the previous few days.

2. Attempted to watch War of The Worlds - its been a long long time since I watched a film at the cinema, and it seems it will be a long time till I do! Didn't get tickets ... Friday night @ PVR what could we expect!

3. Drowned the movie dampener in some awesome Khauswey!!! It'll take a lot to beat my cook's recipe, but this stuff is good! I'm sure some day I'll dedicate a post to Jiggy & Khauswey!

4. Saturday night I ended up going to an ex colleague's farewell party - was great catching up with the whole bunch! And I did meet a couple of new people - which was one of the main reason's I chose to go out, over staying at home with a bottle of some excellent Apple twist vodka! However, I must admit, I'm not good with the whole "meet new people" thing - ended up spending most of the night with my good old present colleague & his girlfriend!

5. Sunday - the brother arrived and woke me up from my drunken slumber! We spent a pleasant afternoon together with the Chemical Pros and my dear Sum-sum and my swim pal. Eating loadsa of meat and seafood - good 'ol Pecos rules!

6. Sunday night and its finally time for Sex & The City ...the Gander again wonders where he shall wander! But as the Ostrich pointed out, he's secretly hooked too!

7. I've developed a painful lump under my arm - its been there a while - 3 years or so, and doctors have said it isn't anything serious. Well its gotten serious now, and its very angry with me! I can tell coz it hurts SO!!! Finally visited my friendly old skin specialist to fix things again.

8. Except for the #7 situation and a dodgy tummy thanks to #5, Monday turned out to be really quite F-I-N-E ...the hard work seemed to have paid off, coz I got what in my words was a WOW incentive cheque! Besides being my very first incentive & restoring the faith in my Employer, it also restored my faith in the Sooper Boss of Mankind! After asking "why me" to being victim of 2 thefts on my holiday & losing hair over the credit card misuse, this sure was a great reward!

9. Dinner and drinks @ Shiok in celebration of #8. Uhhh, actually just fresh lime water for me, thanx to the antibiotics for #7

10. #7 sure is troubling me. Can't wait till Saturday. Tired of changing dressings. Ripping the plaster off. Feel so sore.

11. My phone is playing up. Time to let go. But I just bought a new battery!

12. Finally spoke to one of my closest friends from school & college. She's pregnant. And can't wait for the next 9 months to get "it" out of her!!! Poor thing really sounds very very ill... between napping and throwing up, she did manage to talk a little! As for me... I coudn't be more excited! One more Mad March Head to fuss over!

Random ramblings #1

Tuesday evening @ The Dragon Villa

So we watch teevee, and listen to music, and talk about stuff. Often all at the same time. Until we decide something's gotta give - so we turn the teevee off. After all, the INXS search isn't as popular as American Idol was, and The Ostrich isn't in control!

And the conversations continue. And like the sucky mobile network service I use ( its a corporate connection, I had NO choice) you gotta stretch your neck out and tune in to the one that interests you most.

Then suddenly the teevee's on again, and guess what - its Sex & The City! What better way to gather my Dragons together again! Yes, we're glued! And poor Mr.Gander wonders where shall he wander!

By the way, I missed the first episode of Desperate Housewives last Friday!

If you're wondering what I'm trying to say here - this post isn't really about anything. Duh! I'm just a little carried away with the little green link icon!

But it is a shame to watch annoying reality shows take over Indian teevee! Remember Fauji and Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne?! Not just Indian teevee - the whole world I think! What happened to MASH and Picket Fences??! Ok enough of this linking! Hey Rat - if they've got to air reality shows then how about Young Talent Time, hehehe! Be strange not having to hook up the video casette player, eh?! ;o)

Exerpts from the travel book - I

FIRST TIMES:

06-06-05, Dubai. I saw a HUMMER!!!

Couldn't have fallen more deeply in love with an automobile... or even believe I'd ever fall in love with a machine! I mean I can't even drive... and my minimal experience with riding a bike starts & ends with mid-night bike rides with someone who would soon fall in love with me... to visit someone who I was already in love with!! I'd learn to drive if I had a Hummer...
I'd Hummer in the morning...
I'd Hummer in the evening...
All over this land!!

That was pathetic, forgive me! But seriously this is my dream vehicle, if I ever own one, it'll have to be a Hummer - some day! Preferably the one in yellow. I did eventually see 2 more - black and silver (or grey may be), but the yellow is for me!!! As you can tell, my love starts & ends with "I want a Yellow Hummer" ... all other things are beyond my limited comprehension of automobiles!

That eeeeeeee feeling!

Rat's post on The One made me laugh so hard and give up all hope of finding ANOTHER One!

Well The One who's been The One for a long long time for me... but in reality will never be The One called me yesterday! Boy was I surprised and zapped and ecstatic!!! See thats the effect I'm looking for ... thats when I'll know I've found ANOTHER One! Let me explain:

1. When I feel all those feelings when ANOTHER One calls, I'll know!

2. When The One (I mean he who called me) calls me, and I DON'T feel all those feelings, I'll know he's no longer The One!

Anyway I could'nt have asked for a better way to kick start my weekend! Simple things see :o)

Must get home quick and figure out what to wear for the 'EIGHTAES' theme party at home tonight!!

A bit lost.

Its been a while, and I just can't seem to get into the blog of things!!! Well while I was away on holiday, I kept thinking there'd be shitloads of stories to tell about my trip, but somehow I haven't gotten down to blogging it all. And I'm tired of telling those stories... I mean, once I get started again I know I'll never quit... but I just don't feel like it now! I was waiting to put my pictures up and tell Picture Stories, but now that my pictures are ready its way too much effort for now!

Anyway, I am trying to get back into the Blogosphere... and need as much encouragement possible! ...yes your comments puhlease!!!!! But then who's gonna even reach here, now that I've been away so long?!!

Dear BlogGod, please send some bloggers my way... please please please!!! Amen.

Hennessy... there ain't no name I'd rather be ;o)

My grandfather once said drinking Hennessy cognac would make him proud! He didn't quite say these words to me - I was 6yrs. old when he passed away... but I'm sure he'd be proud of me in this picture!! Thanx to the Dubai Duty Free and my generous Aunt I did drink some and savoured every sip...

I really think I deserve some kind of royalty from them for being brand ambassador by default!
