Don't call me babe...

I don't know what it is with men - and me. But I've had an aweful lot of bad luck off late. In the past year, the half way interesting men I've run into just happen to either leave out or ignore some bits of vital information before they begin to shower me with attention. Vital bits of information like "I'm married" or "getting married" as the case has been.

Whats even more annoying is that once - sooner rather than later - I have found out, by accident or almost like an after thought as the case has been - they continue on this road to hell quite oblivious of the world! And the last nails on a wall screachingly ugly straw is when they say "Hey BABE!" Uggggghhhhhhhhhh...

Chop-chop is all i can say.

More than Four

This post has been inspired by an email tag thing from my sister. I responded by mail already, but in the process realised there was SOOOO much more I wanted to say! And instead of rambling on in an email to my near and dear - who might just be annoyed, I decided it was better I blog about it - that way I can ramble and rant and rave as much as I like, and you can stop reading round about now, if you like :-)

…OR NOT!
“Four Things about me you may not have known” is what the original tag is, but for some there’s a shitload more than 4 that I feel like writing about! So here goes!

A: JOBS I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE:
Apart from the obvious - this would be anything I’ve been paid to do, correct?
1. Swimming assistant to a bunch of 3 – 8yr olds, the summer when I was 13.
2. Cataloguing the library of the sweetest old lady in Calcutta. Apart from being paid money, fancy lunch at her antique dining table with fancy silverware, and tea from Kookie Jar were the perks we enjoyed most!
3. Modeled for a “Wearhouse” print-ad that ran for 6 months – was sort of by default, I could hardly believe it myself!

B: MOVIES I WOULD WATCH OVER AND OVER:

1. Cocktail - thing is I’ve never watched from start to finish @ one go - except when we were kids & we had to close our eyes all the time! ...promise!!!
2. Dancer in the Dark
3. Love Actually
4. Life is Beautiful
5. Grease 1 & 2
6. Sound of Music
7. Dirty Dancing – apart from wishing I could dance like that, I always wanted to stay over at the staff quarters @ a holiday resort ;-)

C: PLACES I HAVE LIVED
1. Calcutta – LMC Boy’ school Campus, LMC Girls school dorm., New (12yrs. Old) House near the airport, Sha’s place, Sangho’s place, Fruitti’s place, Minti’s place
2. Bangalore – MCC hostel, Sena Vihar, Jal Vayu Vihar, Mrs. Pinto’s PG, EXIM House, Luke Peris, Golden Daffodils, LIC Colony, High Street
3. Hyderabad – Tote’s house

D: TV SHOWS I WATCH
1. Grey's Anatomy
2. Law & Order - Special Victims Unit
3. Coupling
4. Just For Laughs Gags
...ok also The OC and Life as we know it (he's sooo hot, and lovely!) *shameful*

E: PLACES I HAVE BEEN ON HOLIDAY
1. Tuticorin
2. Srikakulam – oh but you already new that!
3. Bhadravati
4. Dharmsala

G: MY FAVOURITE FOODS:
1. Seafood - any
2. Khau-suey
3. Pongal/ curd chillies/ rasam / buttermilk
4. ...torture to limit this to 4 - i'm hungry again!
I used to love bland food – pasta in white sauce, stroganoff, and I still do love em all – but post op. I’ve developed this huge Spice Tooth! And unbelievably – from being someone who couldn’t eat the spicey hostel food 10 yrs ago, I’m a born-again chilly addict!!! Tobassco, green chilli sauce, green chillies, curd chillies, fried red chillies – bring it on baybeeee!!!! My colleague suggested that may be if I received a blood transfusion (I don’t believe I did) it was from someone who loved spicey food!

H: PLACES I WOULD RATHER BE RIGHT NOW:
1. Home in Calcutta
2. Vietnam
3. Kudle Beach, Gokarna
4. Lunch @ Secret Garden, digging into their Thai green curry & rice!

So now true to tagging spirit you’re next… Spaceman Spiff!
