For April

Its been over a month since my last post - and there've been ups and downs - some really, really low!

An old friend lost his Mum quite suddenly and it made me realise all over again how unpredictable life is. And tho' I'd been complaining about my Mum extending her trip here, by the end of the 4 weeks I really didn't want her to leave. Not just because life's short and all of that. But more so because somehow thanks to her dealing with my morning grumps and me dealing with her buzzing around me, we re-structured our ways and fitted into a peaceful - HAPPY, DELIRIOUS, EVEN DRUNKEN - coexistence!! I had the best couple of weeks with her - including one week with the sister & her little wickeds!!!

Trying times with a close friend added a little drama and made me wonder why we really give a shit sometimes! What's it all worth when good intentions go bad?!!! So then we just fuggit!!

Soon after Ma left things didn't go as right as I'd have liked them to! Operation "Moo-ove my Arse" fell through and I was down in the dumps! Fortunately with friends around and in town, a couple of drunken nights helped me forget - and get on with it!

Speaking of leavings and movings - Mrs.Oreo - wife of HellFire - also left us mid month! We had a crazy few days and nights with her before saying goodbye. Already miss her high pitched "whaaat?!!"!!!!

I took off to the jungles with BananaRana and her beau!! That's a word from my grandma's house.. I wonder why we don't use it more often - beau!!!! Anyway, en route to the jungles we made a pit stop @ National Market and I bought over a dozen DVDs!!! So apart from watching movies and drinking in the jungles, we also went on a couple of long drives - and were sabotaged by 2 elephants one particular instance! Hehe... well it was funny coz Banana and I were both too scared to drive past the wild tuskers, so we kept turning around, and backing up to get a closer look! And there were strangers in their cars encouraging us to drive along with them! But I think any wise elephant would read our fear & charge!!! My best drive was heading back to Bangalore. I hitched a ride with her beau's brother - a cool ass rally driver! What usually takes 5-6 hours took 3 and a half!!! I was happily strapped into the front and enjoyed every second of the ride! We saw lots more wildlife on the drive back - absolutely fantastic!

Here's to April!
